Project Update: Smart Glass, Smarter Living

Imagine being able to live in a glass house without having to worry about privacy, sun-glare, heat gain or bulky window treatments.  Until recently it has been a challenge for designers, architects and consumers to incorporate larger areas of glass into their designs while still maintaining an acceptable level of privacy.  Now, there is smart glass, electronic glass that can tint, shade and turn private.

At our project north of the city, we are in the process of installing a smart glass know as LC Glass.  LC glass is a privacy product that allows you to instantly switch the glass from clear to frosted white, and achieve 100% privacy. This particular glass will be installed in the home gym and with the touch of a button, the two glass walls surrounding the gym will become frosted white for privacy.  The glass walls were custom-designed by Capoferro and built by our friends at Innovative Glass.  Below is an example of LC Glass used for a boardroom, no more unsightly blinds! Imagine the possibilities.
