LUMINOSO | Wood design in a new light

Is wood paneling "chic" again? Thanks to a new product, Luminoso, architects and designers are using wood paneling in a entirely new light.  Imagine seeing a wood wall light up into a logo, graphic or design image with the flick of a switch?

What is it?  Luminoso is an awarding winning innovative material offering extraordinary design possibilities.  Luminoso is a product comprised of  wood panels that transmit light, creating a unique transparent effect. 

The transparent wood effect is achieved with fibre optics, which run through solid wood panels allowing direct sunlight or artificial light to be transmitted. The use of light on various woods like black cherry, oak, black walnut, maple, etc. creates a warm, rich glow to a room- as well as a unique element of natural color.

The modern design element is enriched by the various logos, or graphics (like a visual of Marilyn Monroe’s face), or even moving images, that are imprinted on the white paneling behind the wood.

We have customized the panels for one our current residential projects. It has allowed us to mix and match lighting colors, and wood to fit perfectly with our room. Luminoso is suddenly making wood paneling "trendy" again.
